There are days when getting out of bed feels like a battle, probably more often than you'd like to admit. But, then you get those magical mornings where you somehow wake up before the alarm goes off. Crazy! And then there are those in-between mornings; hit snooze once (or twice), get up, go through the motions, and head out. Nothing flashy. Nothing thrilling.
That rhythm? It parallels the journey of becoming your best self.
Most days are uneventful. Vanilla, even. And it can make you wonder if you're actually moving forward. Then, some days you are riding the highest, most-epic wave and life is groovy, you're definitely doing something awesome!! And we can't forget the downer days where you question every decision and need someone to give you a hug and tell you it's all going to be ok.
Why can't it all just be one smooth, upward track?
Because where’s the growth in easy? If everything came without resistance, you wouldn’t value it—or worse, you wouldn’t be ready to handle it.
The journey and the pursuit is where you learn the lessons and build the character! If you want to be a millionaire, start managing your money like one.
If you want a stronger family, start paying attention to the needs of those you love. If you want to pray with authority, strengthen your relationship with God. If you want better health, adapt the habits of prioritizing exercise and mindful eating.
This list could go on. The point is, it's going to take time, trial and error, and lots of grace! You are the best project you will ever work on!
